Located in Quebec, the Isko Gold Project is a gold exploration property situated in the Windfall Lake/Urban-Barry gold district, which hosts the Windfall Lake, Zone 18, Barry, Gladiator and Nubar gold deposits owned by Osisko Mining Corp.
Regional exploration activity is presently concentrated in the Urban-Barry Greenstone Belt in the central-eastern part of the Abitibi sub-province, specifically near the Windfall Lake and Barry deposits, approximately 20 km east of the Property.
In 2017, Dixie Gold conducted a property-wide soil sample coverage survey with the objective to delineate areas of potential underlying gold mineralization on the property. In total, 519 soil samples were collected during the program. Lines were run in an NE-SW orientation and prioritized over the areas where regional faults cross-cut the Property, as these areas were considered the most prospective.
The soil survey was successful in outlining several areas of anomalous gold. Highlight results of the soil sampling included 23 samples assaying between 10-50 ppb Au, 13 samples between 50-150 ppb Au, one sample returning 305 ppb Au, and one sample returning 729 ppb Au. The anomalous samples are concentrated within the eastern half of the Property and appear to form a NW-SE trend that is generally coincident with a regionally mapped fault
Dixie Gold is currently reviewing the potential for a phase II follow-up exploration program at the Isko Gold Project.
